ive heard alot of people say adding a reasonator quiets their sound but deepends the tone. not really understanding it. i currently run on my 97 2.4l:
4-1 pacesetter header
2.25 cat convert.
2.25 cat
borla boomer muffler
i like the loudness it has and its not raspy at all but is quiet when cruising. so what exaclty is deepend tone sound like? anyone have clips of both?

^^You have 2 cats?
If you like the loudness of your exhaust don't worry about a resonator. People use them to quiet and exhaust that is too loud for them. The deep tone they speak of just means that instead of sounding like an uncorked 1.6L Honda (high pitched bumble bee sound) it has a deeper, lower pitched tone after adding the resonator to queit it down.
