Oppinions on RD Fabs Intakes for the 2200??

Looking into possibly getting one since i dont like my vibrant too much... has anybody had any experience with the RD Fabs intake for the 2200 engine, mainly years 98-2002? does it fit good and are there any major modifications you need to make to make it fit? i know i had to mount my clutch reservoir somewhere after removing the stock intake box. thanks guys

i just ordered mine. Ill let you know very soon. Ive seen them in person at car shows and stuff and they look AMAZING. Not only that but the guys at RD Fabs are wicked cool and there products are hand made specifically for your car. Plus with stainless steel, your going to get colder air, to stay cold, longer. Because aluminum sucks at insulating. I know NightyCav has one and he loves it. But if you wanna hold off for a couple weeks, ill write up a full review.

I have a short ram for the 95-97 2.2

The fitment is perfect

Also with stainless, all it takes is a little polishing every now and then to stay clean

Loved em soo much, I let Ryan ( shop owner) work his wonders with the welder and craft this custom 2.5" SS header back setup.

Its a wonderful thing having their shop 40 mins from my house.

I am mainly looking to get the short ram intake, I notice a lot of people who have this got breathers to replace their hose into the air intake tube. does this short ram intake come with a hole to connect a hose to the PCV valve (i am guessing thats there it goes) or do you have to buy a breather? thanks

ebay intakes require the 2200 plastic air box.

i just installed my CAI rdfabs about 2 weeks ago, and i took a bunch of pictures while i was doing it.

ryan is a great guy, responds to all my emails very quickly, and is very helpful.

the quality of product you get is worth the cash spent.

it didnt fit PERFECT but it fit well enough that i can call it pretty damn good myself. if you've got the air bong out already..itll take you all if 25-35 minutes to put in. i can help with any installation problems if necessary...boomincavvy@gmail.com its forwarded to my blackberry so just email me, ill help with whatever i can.

go with RDFABS...you wont regret that you did.

How much does this thing actually cost ? I know cosmo's evolution one removes the airbox peice on the 2200, and comes in @ $ 70 .
