Pacesetter Header
Thursday, January 04, 2007 5:21 PM
I just bought the 4-1 Pacesetter header for my 03 cav. I dont plan on keeping my car for more than two years, so I opted for the black paint rather than the armor coated. Is there any type of spray, paint, etc. that I should spray on them before putting them on?

strip the black paint off completely , and use a high temp paint 1300 or higher , prefered is 1500 or better

on the armor coat, on pacesetters web site it says it as a 3" collector, and in the pic i see the down pipe narrows at the end, if i hack off that section will it be 3" or what??? btw im goin full stainless 3"

the header collector is 3" , the down pipe is 2 1/4"

the section that necks down is so you can use the stock cat

no, im looking at getting the header and running 3" exhaust then goin boost later. so the only thing i will have to replace is the header. so if i cut the reducer off it will be 3" ???

Will the high temp paint hold up as well as the armor coat or close to?
