aftermarket Injectors

i'm getting a T3 HKS turbo (either new, or just ripped off a talon at the junkyard) and i don't know what fuel injectors to get. i'm thinking around 200cc or 300cc, but i can only find 532cc and higher. Anyone have any suggestions for me on where to look and whatnot? thanks in advance.

you may want to rethink that bud

there's a reason you're only finding 500cc and higher...

stock is around 300cc

hes right 252cc is stock on an ecotec id say look for around 600cc for a decent boost build and that way you dont worry about running out of fuel

i don't have an ecotec. i have a 96 sunfire 2.2L. factory injectors are 132cc. 500cc is way too high for my car.

maybe you should have stated that in the original post.

since you have a 96 2.2 you'll need to do a topfeed conversion in order to run larger injectors. no one makes larger sidefeeds that fit.

You can search for top-feed in the boost forum here. But, in summary, the easiest conversion is a little machining in the stock 'rail' and adapting a 98+ 2200 rail. This will probably require a upper plenum spacer in order to clear the integral TB.
You can also try swapping on the whole 2200 head and manifolds, but there are some other changes that need to be done, like using 2200 pistons or a thin 2200 headgasket and some major boost.
Or, you could run a standalone that can handle very low-Z injectors and run the massive Saturn TBI injectors in the stock locations.
Or, final option, run extra injectors with a seperate controller.

I was always confused on this. So the 98+ 2200 can fit bigger injectors because at one point i was told they couldn't and i would have to do a top feed conversion. Thanks for any help

The 98+ 2200 uses standard Bosch injectors, pretty much anything will fit them. the 97- 2.2L uses the rediculous side-feeds (bottom feeds) that have no replacements. The 2200 IS the top-feed conversion to the 2.2L.

LOL. Yeah, when GM decides to change injectors they just happen to redesign the entire top end to go with it. Dang engineers can't keep a simple job simple.
