Hi, I am in the process of swapping the ecotec into my car and had a quicq power steering question. I gott the motor out of a 04 ion and suposedly the elimenated the power steering pump. I was wondering if that would work for me(i dont believe it would), or if the one off my old 2.4 would work??? Thank you guys!
Ok well i took ff the power steering pump from my blown 2.4 and it matches up to the eco perfectly. Only think i see is it looks like im gonna have to get the Cam shaft from a cavalier eco. There looks to be no spot on the shaft for the power steering pump to slide into in order for it to engauge with the pump....
damn. it's just one more thing with these Ion Ecos, huh?
thanks for the info man. I might just try selling the Eco and trans that I have, and finding a j-body Eco.

Well i hear its not to hard to get the tranny to work as well as changing out the cam shaft. Just time consuming. Hit me up on yahoo....
