Hey everybody ive been on this site for about 2 years or so now and ive finaly brought myself to it....Im sick of the 2.4 even with mods its not qwick enough so im looking for something bigger like a 3.8s/c from a grand prix.My question is befor i get the cutter and start goin at it is there any kit to make this easier anything at all? What do you consider "performance mods?" Because with the exception of the CF hood, all I see in your profile is "performance-hindering mods." If you are adamant about doing the L67 swap, then contact Raven or search for the countless threads regarding this topic.

Matrix race seats

is that all you have as far as mods? or is there more?

he said his twin cam wasnt strong enough so you recommend a weaker engine?

i wouldnt exactly qualify a carbon fiber hood as a performance modification, becuase correct me if im wrong, i believe to shave 1/10th of your time u need to take off like 100 lbs, or at least thats what a guy that drag races all the time told me, of course i could be wrong about that. and anything u shaved of with the carbon fiber was just put back on with the addition of the wing and system

It still lowers the weight, so I consider it a performance modification. I never said that it was a reasonable performance mod ($400 to shave 10-20 lbs).

I wouldn't be. The TC physically has more power out of the box than the ECO, but you have the benefit of yours being lighter.

hahaha not to mention, some of us like a bigger engine i would like to have the aluminum block and the much bigger aftermarket tho... oh well, the 2.4 twin cam has become just "that old engine"

UFlip06 said it best: Just look underneath the engine and if you see big hairy balls it's a 2.4 Twin Cam, if they're shaved it's an Ecotec and if you see nothing it's a 2200!

so he would be right then? the twin cam IS the stronger engine....
and when you guys start saying, well the eco is lighter and has more aftermarket support it sounds like something a honda owner says

Especially considering the number of people that do nothing more than an intake and muffler.

OK, before this turns into a huge @!#$ fest between ECO and TC fan boys:

LD9
150 hp
155 ft-lb tq

L61
140 hp
150 ft-lb tq

That was all Scott meant by:

It's a driver's race, and you get pretty much the same result. Your point?

Back to the topic at hand, children. You won't find the help you want here. Go check out www.motorswap.org... specifically my thread on the L67 swap: http://forums.motorswap.org/viewtopic.php?t=2677

If I remember correctly, Raven's shop sells the subframe/ cradle for the L67 (supercharged 3800) swap. I would try and contact him about it.

The bottom line is L67 > LD9 & L61

which i took it as that you had mods done. so you are comparing a unmodded stock engine agianst one that has a supercharger on it. yeah thats equal
