APEXi SAFC NEO

hey, has anyone dealt with this controller before? im guessing its basically like the SAFC-II but i havent dealt with that either. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how good of controller this is. I was originally going to go with the HPtuners software, which seems to be the big favorite with most J-body enthusiasts, but im relatively new to tuning, and i dont think i need that much tuning capability. The only mods that will be done to my car will be:

Port & Polished Head
10.5-1 Forged Pistons
.020 Overbore
Secret Cams
Intake, Full Exhaust, Underdrive Pulley, all the normal bolt on stuff...
and stainless valves and all that good stuff
possibly a 75-100 shot nitrous kit

with those mods, do u think the APEXi could handle what i need?

I have had the apexi line up on my pontiac sunfire and I will let you in on a big secret,

WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME

thats right waste of money and time I tried both apexi II and the neo both are garbage on our jbodied cars.

I was once like u wanted something cheap and little but its just a waste of wiring time and
money I am just bitting the bullet and getting hp tuners even though im a full time college
student with no money I am just saving every penny i can so I can do it right this time.

all of the apexi afc's only work with cars that use a 0-5v map sensor for fuel! J-cars don't!!! the map sensor on our cars if for ignition timing!! so if you want to have the most screwed up way to change your timing then you could buy an AFC for that but I wouldn't!!! dont waste your time!!! if you want something cheap go with a megasquirt!!! (it a standalone if you want that route!)nullnullMegasquirt other wise HP tuners but I dont really car for hpt b/c theres no real time tuning and your still stuck tuning alpha N which means the computer is guessing how much fuel is required by RPM and TPS but I suppose its great if you have a slight knowlegde of tuning and know alot of people who mod GM cars that would want to pay you for credits to tune their car then you could make money off of it b/c were about the only ones that don't have realtime tuning with HPT !! but its either a standalone or HPT your pic.
