Ok looking at A LOT of profiles and post there are a bunch of people on here that run the 2.4L motor and I would like to know how much power i can run in my 2.4L motor? I dont want to add a turbo (have an eclipse for that) or a super charger just yet. But I would also like to know if anyone has any ideas on some sites to check out for perfomance upgrades. I would like to run all motor and need to know how about going that route. I have been searching all day and i keep comeing up empty so please help thanks.

Look up Karo, he had i think 300+ HP all motor 2.4L in his Sunfire..
he hasnt said how much power he really wants..if he already has a turbo car then im guessing he really doesnt want to add ALOT to the 2.4 ..probably just a decent gain? am i right?for that there is plenty you can do..besides intake and exhaust,you could get the "secret cams" ..light pulleys..flywheel,clutch..larger HO intake/throttle body...if you wanted even more there is the 086 head swap..just depends on how deep in your pocket you want to go

With as light as his sunfire is, 300hp would have put Karo deep into the 12's. I think he bested a 13.1 off the bottle. It seems strange though that his motor is only marginaly more powerful than others' motors here. I heard that the w41 cams gave him odd results...The only major physical differences between a quad4 and TC are the head and crank. So my guess is he probably had problems with cfm flow and/or piston speed.

Yea i have the eclipse and i plan on turboing that so i was looking to get as much power out of my 2.4L w/out a turbo or supercharger. But i may change my mind later but that wont be for a long time though. I do have the intake all ready, exhaust comeing soon!
I did look up karos car but couldn't find a total and i found a guy "whitecavy" i think is his name and he has in his sig a fully built 2.4L at 300+ but when i looked into it I found that he was going to turbo so what is the highest you can get out of the 2.4L all motor? Anyone know?

there was a post where a guy did his swap in the street. He used the 086 head and Ho cams, ect...... I cant find the thread anymore! I hope someone know wshat im talking about. Thanks.

you could always just do Intake (You already have), header, full exhaust, motor mount, tranny mounts, fuel pump, fuel rail, Cams, clutch, and just HP tuners..youllbe happy.

no need to do feul mods for bolt ons. the stock 2.4 rail is good for 600 hp i think

The engine makes about 270whp which easily = over 300 crank hp.... all NA.
on nitrous it made about 360 whp.
