okay i did a search to see if someone had already done this post and i didnt come up with anything. So, i am wanting to know if somebody makes an EProm that will take move the rev limiter as well as adding a little power to the car. I know i can send the ECU off to a company that will program it to whatever u want, but im not ready to spend that much money yet. so does anyone know of anything?

Thanks guys

For 96's, no. Mantapart used to list one for the 95's. 97 and up is supported by HP Tuners, but 96 is a bastard year that really isn't supported by anything or anyone.

HPT will not work with a 96. You can swap to a 97 but there may be wiring involved. The thing to check is to look and see if your ECU has 2 plugs or 3. If it has 3, you will need to rewire the plug. If it has 2, then you should just be able to plug it in and go.

Because they don't support 96...

More specifically, 96 was a cross between OBD-1 and OBD-2 (which is why its difficult for a lot of 96's to get a code read). HPT decided that instead of saying they only support SOME 96's, to just go ahead and ditch the 96's. That way they don't have people buying it hoping that it'll work without doing any research first, and then bitching when it doesn't. They do this to ALL 96's, not just the 4 cylinder crowd, the LSx guys are in the same boat.
