So i'm finally ready to the exhuast on my car,, 05 cav,, and after reading around my planned set up is the pacesetter coated header. Now the header had a 3" down pipe right? so i plan on running 3" from the header through a magnaflow cat and from there 2.5" to the muffler which is dual outlets at 2.25". The car is not boosted yet, and i'm aiming for a lower tone without rasp and not extremely loud. Anyone see any problems with this set up? And in your opinions should i put in a resonator?
the collector on the pacesetter is 2.5" and i'd just go with that all the way back to the muffler. and yes on the resonator
You desperately need to do more reading. You want 2.25" piping if you're staying N/A. Get the longest resonator you can fit, and longest muffler that will fit. I really suggest you do some more research before you buy anything because you seem like you know nothing about exhaust.

Unless of course you are going severe N/A, like cams, pistons, headwork etc. Otherwise 2.25 should be good. If you get too big of exhaust on your naturally aspirated engine you will start seeing a loss in torque with no gain in HP.
