When IPP first announced that they were going to produce cams for the 2.2L/2200s, I was interested in them. They state that their cams are new grinds on new billet cores. When another member got his cam, it was on a cast core. A cast core won't hold up to the pressures of a roller cam. Steel lobes are required for use with the roller lifters used on these motors.
I'm sure their cams would be okay for for the '93 and older motors with the flat hydraulic cams, as long as the cams lobes are hardened.
