What rpm does your rev limiter kick in? i dont want to remove it or any or that other crap, i just bought a new gauge cluster (one w/o a tach to one w/ a tach) and i just want to make sure that tach. is accurate.

why would you want to bypass it? do you want to blow your motor? i am still new to j-body (only been a member for a couple of months) but i know not to ask that retarded question... or even why.

There are some out there that need to make the rev limiter higher. Like Skwirl, I beleve he is hitting 7200 rpm, and soon is talking about 8000+rpm. It all depends on what you are doing with the car. HP Tuners is the best way to do any kind of tuning for our cars, well I guess the only way.

In the planning stage for an all American TRD Cavalier.

moving the limiter is used usually when the powerband is raised...such as a built head or just cams can do this and put your peak power out of the stock powerband....another reason could also be to get your car as close to peak power as possible after every shift..

Do most Dyno/Tuning shops have HPTuners? Is there a way to adjust your speed limiter witjout getting rid of it or is that HPTuners as well? Where can you purchase HPTuners?

Let's say the easiest/ most practical for the majority of J-body owners. It is FAR from the best and DEFINITELY NOT the only.

You set it where you will have the most area under the power curve (which is why gearing is so important). Perhaps that is what you meant though.
