I made it from 2 3/4" aluminum tubing, silicone couplers and a K&N filter. Order one from e-Bay and get a good K&N filter, to put on the end, for less money and the same performance gains.

this pic is a lil more recent, but its not how it is now, I fliped the pipe around so it bends towards the battery like the old pic looks like.

no more cavy...now 240 =]

I see a cool-air intake
It's got a NOS-fogger system and a T-4 turbo
I see an A.I.C. controller
It has direct port nitrous injection
Yeah, a stand-alone fuel management system
...Not a bad way to spend $10,000

I don't remember how much all of it cost, but too much.

If you are going to make one yourself, I would recommend making it from 2 1/2" tubing, 3" is too big and you'll lose torque. I used 2 3/4", because of the mods I've done to my motor(and the mods to come). There are many companies that have either 2 1/2" or 3" polished aluminum tubing (only a couple have 2 3/4" and it's hard to find). I had to use a 90 deg bend and two 45 deg bends, along with the associated silicone couplers. You will need to cut the tubing to get the fit you want. If you don't want to use the silicone couplers, you can get the tubes TIG welded, for a different look. The throttle body uses a 3" coupler, you'll need a 3" to 2 1/2" silicone transition hose to the 2 1/2" tubing. You will need to pull you IAT sensor out of your stock tubing and go to you local parts store and find a grommet that the IAT sensor will fit. Drill a hole in the tubing that the grommet will fit in, in the general area that the sensor came from on the stock tubing, to put the IAT in. I put mine on the back of the tubing next to the red coupler in the center.

Like I said, you can do just as well buying an e-Bay intake and put on a K&N filter. Most of the kits on there are 2 1/2" and polished, with a cheap filter. They usually look pretty good and perform well with a good filter.
