flat spot at 3,000 R's help!!!!!!!!!!

okay, i have a 02 cavi ls with a 2200, have done a few mods, such as pacesetter header, pulled cyl head and had it shaved 10 thou. also ported and polished along with valve job, just replaced oxygen sensor with one from gm, because it was shorted and running super rich, now it runs great untill i hit about 3,000 rpms its like its losing fuel until about 3,300 rpms then it picks back up and goes great until redline, i am a mechanic but i am stumped, already tried a new map sensor, didnt change it at all, drove home tonight with my Tech 2 scanner hooked up but i couldnt catch the computer cutting either spark or fuel, has anyone had this problem>?? or any ideas? Thanks
