Alright i have a 97 Z24 cavalier i think my computer got rain in it some how cause it @!#$ted out.So i was told to get a computer off any GM 2.4 twin cam motor but u have to switch the PROM or something inside the computer and i looked and i didnt see any chip that u could take out in there can someone please help me with this.

Just go to the junkyard and get the same ECU for motor and trans you have, make sure its also before 99.

Well im having trouble trying to find a 97 Z24 5spd computer but i guess ill keep looking thanks man.Does anybody know how to switch the PROM or know where i can get a PMC(computer)please let me know.

just call a couple places and you can likely have one within an hour or 2, I have bought many parts from there.

Ok ive went to three different junkyards ive got two Computers the guy told me that S10,Sunfire,Skylark,Malibu's are all the same but i put in a 98 S10 L4 computer didnt work and then i put a 97 buick skylark 2.4 computer in it didnt work so i heard u have to switch the Prom's in the computer if u use a computer off another car.Then i heard there is no Prom's in those computer's i dont know what to do so somebody please give me the real info on these computer's.
