I'm about to install a pacesetter header on my 99 Z, and I got a great deal on this header, but it's for an egr engine, and mine has none. So I just went out and bought a Felpro oem manifold gasket for a non egr car. My biggest question is, will this gasket seal up ok using the header? The factory manifold is smooth like the header flange, so I wouldn't see why not, just throwing it out there to make sure. I'd hate to get it on the car and have it leak and pop like a bitch...
So basically you have a hole in the header flange for the EGR, right? I can't see why it wouldn't seal up fine, bud. Torque it down to spec and you should be golden. Got pics, by any chance?
Yeah, I'm not worried about the egr port on the header doing any wrong, just wanting to make sure this thin metal fel-pro will seal up as well as a "header" gasket. I wouldn't see why not. I oughtta know within an hour as long as I don't kill my last sawzall blade on the downpipe

.
Damn, not use to not having the edit button anymore. Thanks for your quick response AO.
Maybe try filling the slot on the header with some jb weld, then sanding it smooth.
