I did some looking around online and here and came up with only very basic info. Does anyone have a thorough sheet of specs handy for this stock cam? Thanks, guys!!

0.263" lift, not sure of duration
I would assume centerline and lobe seperation would be the same as the 94-97...

Amen to that, brotha...especially with what I have planned

OHV-

That's the problem so far, bud; a lot of people seem to have some info, but I've yet to find every spec on the cam in one shot.

To the best of my knowledge I've never seen the stock specs posted anywhere... I don't have anything in any of my files either, but at this point there are a lot of holes in those so it doesn't surprise me... I wouldn't be surprised if Slow or Madjack had them somewhere in their archives though.

Have you tried going to a dealership, talking to a mechanic and asking them for some info? I'm sure they could find out what you need.

^^^I've NEVER had luck doing that. I've tried before when trying to diagnose stupid problems and they basically turn up their noses at the very thought of helping anyone out. Really big of them, right?

I think Jack posted them towards the end of the 2200 power record thread.
Why do you need to know if you're getting a new cam anyway? That doesn't make sense...

awww, you're so naieve its almost adorable

First off, I've worked in dealerships as a tech before. I've gone to training with other techs from other dealerships. I've never met a dealer tech in any of that time who knew, or cared to know, the lift and duration of a car's cam/s unless they themselves owned and modified one. Why? Because its not information you need to know to diagnose a problem you'd see in a dealer atmosphere. If the cam is wiped, you don't need to know the specs to tell that. You'll most likely be getting a miss or a tap at a particular cylinder, and once the valve cover is off and/or the pushrods come out, its not normally hard to see. Other than a situation like that, they don't need to know anything about a cam besides its clearances.

Of course they do. Diagnosis is their JOB, what they get PAID to do. Now if they were to go around giving free diagnosiseseseses () to people who can do their own work, they wouldn't have much work themselves. Plus, having been there, you have no idea how annoying it is to be trying to do a job (and at most shops, its flat-rate, meaning they only get a given amount of time to do a job), to get somebody coming up to you asking what's wrong with his car without wanting to pay you to look at it. It may seem snobbish or rude, but those guys deal with a lot of crap and have to work their balls off to earn a decent living. In fact, most service managers would ream out a tech for doing that when there's no work order on that car. One of many reasons why I got out of the auto business, it was making me hate cars.

I belive the duration @.050" on the stock 2200 cam is 196* (In & Ex) with a lobe center of 114*.
