i'm thinking of buying a weapon r secret weapon short ram intake, but i need help on how to install it. i have a 96 cavalier 2.2l ecotec. any info on how to install?
if you have a 1996 and a 2.2 its not an ecotec.

You will need a welder, an air compressor, an impact wrench, two phillips screwdrivers, and a spoon.

yeah a 1996 is 2.2 OHV not an ecotec, if you order an intake for the ecotec it will not fit. as far as installing it on that engine...just get a picture of one with the intake on it...youll see how it fits, a short (non-CAI) intake is one of the easiest parts to install.

if not the weapon r secret intake...what would be a better intake to buy
An intake is an intake. Really with the few horsepower gain you'll get off an intake from our cars, it makes no difference whether you go with WAI, CAI, $200 intake, $100 intake, and as for the velocity tube in the secret weapon R intake, even if it theoretically makes a difference ... with the few horsepower you gain in our applications from the entire intake you won't notice the difference. Just don't spend too much $$ on one.
