does anybody know the difference in the 2.4l and the 2.3l, i need to replace the motor in my 99 z and was wondering if it made a difference if i put the 2.3l in, is there any difference in the wiring harness???? thanks

With either the Quad 4 or the Ecotec you will need the ECM.
But if your planning on selling it after putting the motor in - then I suggest sticking with another LD9, after the next person that buys it may not like idea of having a Quad 4 or Ecotec motor in a "supposedly" LD9 powered car.
you don't need the ecm to run the 2.3. Yes the mounts are the same for the 92 2.3.
Yes it bolt on but you need to use a few things from the 2.4.

well its pretty hard to find a low milage 2.4l anywhere for a decent price. im not gonna pay alot for the damn thing because if i do anything ill swap in the eco and say hell with it!!!

I hate to break it to you, but just last week there was a purple 2.4L Sunfire with a running engine, and assorted other issues that closed on ebay for $153 pickup in VA.
I wanted it sooo bad..
