Yep Karo, is the way to go. If I remember correctly Wiesco can do 14:1, but no one has ever bought any.

when i ordered my custom high comp pistons for my ld9 they said the highest they could do for a ld9 was 10.5:1 i wanted 11:1 but they couldn't do it. and that's with dome.

This is 10.5:1 and they just clear.

How much were those pistons 10.5:1, and do I need to add anything else for this mod, like eagle rods or what?

GMR has got nothing on this

You should be able to order them directly from Wiesco I think. They should be able to custome make any piston you want.

i don't have the spec sheet with me but ill have to look tomorrow.
The pistons ran me $500 even not to bad.

I haven't painted my block yet lol that how it was when they cleaned it. iam painting it an aluminum color.

When they clean the block, they spray it with black enamel...Machine shop did the same thing to mine.

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.

they didn't do anything to it as you can see there is rust in all the groves and stuff no paint has been added that's bone stock paint as for the rest not so stock

They look pretty close to my 3.12cc dome. They can put a bigger dome in the 2.4 pistons because of the bigger combustion chamber. They must just be scare of doing a mistake. My pistons are TIGHT. They can almost hit the head.

Remember that is with a 086 head..... on a LD9 head it works to be a 10.5 - 10.7 pending your gasket / decking of block.

The LD9 head uses a smaller head CC vs the 086 head thats why the dome looks so big.

.... but woldent a smaller chaumber net higher compression? i thought the LD9 had a biger chamber.....

LD9 has a bigger CC which means the dome has to be BIGGER to net a higher compression VS the 086 which has a smaller head CC which the dome does not need to be as big.

Hope that made sense.

Karo only made a typo. But everything is fine now.

Karo, could you get the CC of the dome from those pistons? I know the one you got me are 3.12CC dome but I don't have the pictures available to post to compared. The design sure is the same.

Off the top of my head I want to say +3cc but I could be wrong.

Also, the pistons you got, were about .1-.2 higher pending what gasket you sued along with any decking / milling.

One more question... with the 10.5 C.R do i have to worry about getting tunning software immediately?
