no one has done it yet. so no info there. well nothing on the swap anyway.
if you want a 2.0 supercharged motor from a cobalt ss, just buy a cobalt ss. or swap in an 2.2 ecotec and put on a turbo

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!

Truth is it would be cheaper to buy the 2.0 L Ecotec S/C motor to swap to the 2.2L Ecotec then add a GM S/C - I would think.
Just check out GM Parts Direct, or GM Performance Parts.
But either would be pretty expensive - since your talking motor, motor mounts, ECM and possible the tranny.
actually it probably would not be cheaper to swap a 2.2 and supercharge it, then to buy a 2.0 s/c and swap it...because the work that needed to get it running correctly wouldn't be cheap, unless you really know what your doing.. and if your asking this question then there go that option
You'd have to change out one of the cams (not sure which precisely) for one from a Cav equipped Ecotec. The Cobalts use electric assist steering, so the cam that drives the power steering pump in the Cav is missing the drive in the Ecotec, and there is a blockoff plate installed there. Motor mounts shouldn't be an issue, you WOULD need a 3rd gen lower Cav mount, and a Cav Eco upper mount. Would need the Cav tranny, and the Cav tranny mounts. Also, the Cobalts are drive by wire, so you'd need a Cav throttle body too.
Hope that helps for your swap question.
And according to GMPartsDirect, the 2.0/SC crate engine has been discontinued, even then, it would have cost you over 4200 bucks, plus you going after the parts to make it work in the Cav. Junkyard hop for a used Ecotec from a Cav, and eat Top Ramen to save the 2800 bucks for the Cav specific Eco supercharger kit. I know you don't care about opinions, but supercharging the 2.2 from a Cav would probably net you a bit more power anyway from the slightly higher displacement. The 2.0 Eco has a square bore/stroke, so its more efficient than the 2.2 in that respect, but hey, displacement is almost always a good thing.
