The engines fine in my 1989 Cavy but the TH125 tranny won't stay in 3rd gear due to the previous owners lax in maintenance, To tell you the truth I'm amazed the motor ran as well as it did since when I bought the car the oil hadn't been changed for 12,000+mi. I was thinking about getting another TH125 since alot of the local junkyards are selling used ones for $100 but I could use an overdirve gear the way gas prices are these days.
