Stainless Steel chambered muffler???
Thursday, July 12, 2007 10:24 PM
Anyone know of a SS chambered muffler that will sound good on my 2.4? i want something thats nice and deep but not too loud. im getting tired of the tuner muffler i have on it now. i have a full exhaust consisting of a 4-1 tsudo ss header and SS 2.25" piping all the way back with a magnaflow high flow cat and a resonator. I dont mind spending the money, as long as it sounds nice. im getting tired of the rice sound.

01' Z24 5 speed
422whp/400wtq

Built LD9
HP Tuners

I think flowmaster ot Edelbrock are your best bets to find SS and chambered.

Most of theSS out there are the "straight through" preferated for style.

Dynomax Super-Turbo should be exactly what you want.

^^^
There are a lot of muffers designed like those Super Turbos.

Summit, Cherry Bomb, Thrush (Dynomax) all come to mind.
Granted, they don't have the fiber packaging.
But the internals are all about the same.

i have the same question. the way ive been shopping, im looking for something that would sound good in say, a 327 dual exhuast with no H/X pipe. would this method work? it certainly opens up the market a bit.

Listen F***ers. FASTERTHANAHONDA is a joke because I WORK FOR HONDA. I'll talk @!#$ about Fords to, that doesn't mean I can beat a 12 second mustang.

Pacesetter header
Magnaflow high flo cat 2.5"
18" magnaflow resonator 2.5" in/out
2- magnaflow street series mufflers reamed out to 2.5"

Then we installed everything using SS 2.5" tubing all the way back.

Sound clip

Its low and deep. No rasp whatsoever. I will be boosted next year and i wanted an exhaust where i will hear the turbo over the exhaust.

If your in the NY or NE area, shoot me an e-mail Cody@rdfabs.com and maybe we can work something out for ya!

Where did you get that Magnaflow resonator? I looked on the Magnaflow website and could not find any mention at all of them even offering one, and haven't been able to find any for sale on any of the sites I've looked at. Plenty of Vibrant resonators though.

Do you have any issues with the rear O2 sensor reading incorrectly and throwing a code?

Sounds VERY good too btw.
