Hey guys I know the first thing most of you are going to think is take it to the track to find out but its not built yet. What I am considering is building a n/a eco but if i can't break into the 13s with these mods I will go boosted.....
Do you THINK 13s are possible with these mods........
Wiseco 11:1 Compression Pistons w/ rings and wrist pins
Patriot Stage 2 Head
LZM Triflow Cams
Balance Shaft Delete
LSJ Injectors
2.5" Exhaust
Header
Larger TB
Stage 2 Clutch
HP Tuners
I am only looking to break 13s but if this isnt possible I will go boosted....What do you guys think?? Is it worth it??
Boosted would be a much easier route, but if I were you Id talk to squirrel; Im sure he could help you out with anything.
Id suggest an lsj header as well, if you dont turbo.
you can hit 13s for sure.
How well can you drive the stock car? low 15's or high 14's? Then maybe. If you're high 15's or 16's... or high altitude... then work on the driving skills first

Ya I guess hes the guy to talk to about this stuff..........

Never tracked the car.....I live in the toronto area.........
People cant break 14s in a stock eco can they??

Anyways, I can drive the car well no worries there...I've had 2 years to get to know the car lol
Altitude plays a big part, also it might sound dumb but it realy does seem with many different cars some are just built better for some reason, and others are maintained better and such. My friend friend couldnt pull anything better than a 15.8 in his auto eco with headerback, intake, reveco tb,and mounts; as where others Ive seen do much better.
I know your gona have a problem with those 18's though. Get a set of 14-15's and a decent set of radials.

No 18s definetly wouldnt be used to track.....Exterior will probably go back to stock.....
The only way your gonna be able to tell its not stock is a slight drop on Eibach Pro's.......Unexpected.......
go boost s/c

GM Stage 2 &&& air box modification

Supercharger from my dealer is about $4,000...Then the aftercooler $$............I can build a motor for that price and get better results....
Plus I can then say ALL MOTOR!! lol
I like the setup. Go for it. 13s are def possible.
I want to share something with you - the three sentences that will get you through life. Number one, 'cover for me', Number two, 'oh, good idea, boss', Number three, 'it was like that when I got here.'

This means jack. Driving at the track and on the street are 2 different things. Lots of practice is needed at the track. You have to be able to adjust to the car and the conditions. Truly I have found most people who think they can drive good, can't at the track.

I agree.....But I also feel confident that within a couple days at the track I can get some good times out of my car............Launch at different RPM's starting at 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, etc to find what gives you the best 60 ft times....Then launch from that RPM......After that its just about shift points...............Not saying the first time I go to track with my car I'm gonna get the best times out of it......Just sayin I feel confident enough with my driving that I can learn fairly quick..........
Thanks.....Wasnt tryin to sound like a smart ass just for the record.....
14's out of a stock Eco,I think not but if NA is what you want then PJ is the one to look up

15.2@89mph 2.171 60ft. 9.830 1/8 R.I.P. "LULU"
watch the YOUTUBE...DAFLYINSQUIRELL
im going with similar mods...
13s are possible if you are prepared to:
-strip your car, or lighten it as much as possible
-If you have a 5 speed
-good tires
-good driving skills
Keep in mind too DAFLYINSQUIRELL almost broke into the 13s and he didnt have the compression bumped up to 11:1, so you should be able to do it.
I know when my car is complete Ill be in the 13s N/A.

PJ aka "daflyinsquirell" is or was (not sure havent seen any updates) N/A and had extremely low 14's think it was 14.07 or somthing like that
its alot of work and money to get to that level it is alot easier and cheaper to go boost
I would honestly build for lower compression, and boost it. If you want, I can introduce you to Chris (local Ontario HP Tuner) and get it all tuned up. I don't see you on the JCO boards !

I'm gonna join the boards tonight...................But Chris would be a good guy to meet even with my N/A motor...........Where abouts is he?
where is this Chris fella located in Ontario? I live in Kitchener-Waterloo and i'm on the edge of buying HPTuners, OR just getting it dyno/tuned.
Chris is located in Etobicoke. He charges about 200 $ a tune, and a lil more if he has to travel. GUY has done lots of great tunes already. (You all know him here as SweetnessGT)

get better results for the same money by going n/a ? I don't think so unless you get nitrous...
the s/c alone brings you to 200 whp... getting a 75 whp gain n/a is alot harder and will inevitably decrease the drivability of your car.
