well as topic states i installed my intake today it fit pretty good. I drove it to work and every thing was fine, i went out to lunch everything was good went to the ATM and when i got the check engine light was on! I put the elbow on backwards because it seemed to clear the throttle cable and bracket better. The instructions say short end of the elbow to the TB, i put the long end on the TB. I also wrapped the IAT in a towel during install. I dont know whats going on...a couple of people said i just need to drive it so the ecu gets used to it...any truth to this? The instructions even state 7 days....is this normal? I also shorten one of the hoses cuz it was too long....could this be an issue? ill post pics tomorrow... i even went as far as to zip tie both hoses at the ends for good measure. Any input would help A LOT!
2004 eco 5 spd base model.....
unplug the neg side of the battery, leave it for 15 min then plug it back and see if you still have the problem.
i was gonna try that, ill let you know how that goes....any one else ?
scan the code and see what it is. most auto stores do it for free.
no reason an intake will cause a cel.. did you plug your sensors back in?
well he will get a cel if he didnt plug the iat in ..atleast i know i did.
is the IAT still under your hood wrapped in a towel?
My car hated going to the ATM and would throw CEL's for a week after.
