in a cavalier....do i only need to swap throttle bodies out? 2.2L btw....not the 2.4 or 2.0sc
j-body eco transmission and mounts, evap lines, coolant lines, radiator, oil dipstick tube, top motor mount. you need to verify that the PS pump is there, or if there's a block-off plate. if the plate is there, you'll need the intake cam from a j-body eco to drive the PS pump. also verify that it is a return-style fuel rail. if it's not, you'll need a j-body eco fuel rail. might possibly need the cruise control throttle cable. I'm not sure if there are any drive-by-wire throttle bodies for the 2.2, but if so, you'll need the drive-by-cable throttle body.

^ the power steering pump is driven off the intake camshaft like he said.
Make sure you have the right one. I ran into that problem.
I did too. that's why I got the Comp cams. perfect time to upgrade.
almost forgot... you'll need the j-body oil pan, and lower engine mount bracket on the engine side that bolts to the pan.

see....this is why I heart the org. I can just ask the right questions and be able to head into a project knowing I got just about everything covered
another thing that will make a difference is the crank, early Cobalts used a 7 tooth wheel for the crank sensor which is what you want for a J-body, newer engines have more teeth on the wheel, if you get the wrong crank with more then 7 teeth it will not start.

thanks man... I forgot to post that up to.
from looking in another forum, I believe the L61's up to '06 used the 7x wheel for the crank sensor. L42's too, but I don't think you want a CNG motor.
