Alright just finished my 2.4L build and wanted to know what the best but quietest muffler. i'll probably use a 25" thrush glass pack as a resonator. i was thinking of a magnaflow street series muffler. my friend has one on his saturn and its quite and not raspy.. what do you guys think ?

I have the Dynomax Ultra flo welded muffler and it's a strait through desing (very little restriction) and it's well packed with fiberglass so it's very quiet. I had a 28 inc resonator on and I actualy removed it since it was to quiet

I also have a 4/1 header, hi flo cat and a true mendrell bent 2.25 cat back.

Do you plan on using a cat? Im going catless, and using a 30" glasspack as a res, then a dynomax st. They are cheap and very quiet. I know mine will be pretty loud but I plan to boost sometime soon so idc.

it's alittle loud for me but toall my friends its not too loud and not raspy at all. i sounds like a WRX with a magnaflow system... you can hear the WRX on the magnaflow site under street series muflfler. I'll post up a sound clip when i get a chance

I've found the flowmasters to be good quite mufflers, and even through it is not a straight through design, it doesn't take any power away, says the butt dyno. It's just as loud under WOT, but around the street, it is a lot quieter. Which is always good for the cops here in Virginia. They will write tickets just because of loud exhaust...
