I really don't know where this post SHOULD belong, but...
Is anybody running/swapping out their metal dipstick for a synthetic one? Metal won't fit down my modified tube anymore and I was told that certain cars use a "synthetic" dipstick that's much more flexible. Trying to figure out which cars have'em so I know where to look. Thanks, guys!!!
im guessing your using the dipstick tube for the drain back for the turbo
my friend never has any problem with his
my guess is the drain tube was stuck to far into the tube and interfering with the dip stick going past it
and ive never heard of a synthetic dip stick , ive see cars that use cable style , but if the drain tube is blocking the inside of the tube enough , nothing is gonna work right

The full story is that when we fabricated my turbo manifold, we did so without the dipstick in. Therefore, I had to fabricate a whole new dipstick with just the OEM top and bottom pieces. The metal OEM dipstick can't make the 90-degree bends.

i dont even think 1 of the cable type will make a 90
only thing i can think of is to make another tube and try and use bends that are not as sharp , or to use the 2.2 base , and weld a 2.4 or eco dip stick tube , since they are only about 1/2 diameter tubes verse the ohvs 1" wide tube
newer eco's have a wire one, but nothing is going to get by a 90degree bendunless you cut off the lower part of the dipstick enough that it can fit thru. Just make sure the length is the same.

Well, Cody already mentioned the ECO stick, but i'm using the dipstick as a drain for the turbo, so that won't work. I do know I have to make it the same lenght, and come to think about it...a wire might just work, actually
you can twist a flat metal dipstick to get alot more flexibility out of it. Not 90° though
