I saw a thread about people putting 2.4l intakes on 2.2 ecotec motors, and i lucked out yesterday and my friend was selling his 2.4 and i snagged the intake from him for 15$, but i notice there are 3 things that need to go on it, and only 2 holes in the tube. am i gonna have to drill a hole?

nevermind, figured it out

What did you do?
Were there 3 holes, or what?
ALSO!
Do you feel a difference?
PS: Not the gold... chrome/carbon totally!

^^ no i found the vacuum on the manifold and put the tube there, thats the one i was confused on. the other 2 were self explainatory lol. i havent driven it yet, im about to leave to go to autozone cuz i need a longer hose to connect to the valve cover, i have one improvised for now. ill let you know when i get back
lol thanks for your input! I'm leaning towards the chrome/carbon also

well i have to say, best 15$ i ever spent on my car! lol. while not very much, i do notice a definate improvement. slightly better throttle response, slightly better acceleration. Plus it added a really nice deep growl sound coming out of the engine. 100% worth every penny i spent on it!

Cool!
Thanks for the info!
1Q though: Does the 2.4 manifold bolt up 100%? No drilling or anything?
Easy Easy to mount to 2.2L ecotec?

dude said intake, not intake manifold

Yes, i meant the air intake, not the intake manifold, it took a lil bending and drilling, but i made the bracket on the intake fit the PS bolt i think, so i didnt have to cut the mount off, i had to extend the breather tube a little bit but that was easy, and moved the vacuum line to one of the nozzles on the intake manifold, heres what it looks like:
im pretty happy with it
