Any Interest in Exhaust Flanges?
Tuesday, August 28, 2007 6:03 AM
Would there be any interest in exhaust flanges for the 2.4 (LD9) and the 2.2L Ecotec?

We can have them water jet out of 3/8" or 1/2" Mild steel or Stainless steel.

Great flanges for custom made turbo manifolds, headers, ect.

Please post if you would be interested and it what engine, thickness, and mild or stainless...

Aaron-

I think I have a bunch of drawing files for a number of different turbo flanges, let me know if you want them.

I would be intrested in a 3/8" ld9 exhaust flange in mild steel. Also might be worth it to look into making a aluimum flange that can be welded to the runner on a HO manifold so the ports line up from the 2.3 mani to the 2.4 head.

I would be intrested in both.

How about a flange for the intake manifold for a 2.3 lgo quad and a 2.4 ld9.
I'd like to make a good log style intake manifold or it would also give us the option of running itb's.
Just a thought and I'd be interested in the intake manifold flange.

a flange that fits an 086 head would be nice. so we could make a custom header if we wanted.

I would be more intrested in a flange in aluminum for a stock 2.4 head. For a custom log manifold. also a 2.4 ld9 exhaust like i said before.

I know quite a few people who would like to have a 3400 downpipe flange. Drawings are abundant too.

Any interest in a 1 SOLID piece front and rear strut bar water jet cut from 6061 T6 Aircraft Grade Aluminum?

Then powder coated to your specs? This would be around $90-110 each as there is a lot of wasted material when you make it one solid part....

I like the sounds of that 1pc strut bar. Also Id be interested in a flange for the 2.3 086 head both intake and exhaust.

I'd be interested in teh strut bar as well.

Make it nice and thick, kinda like the MRZ bars but one piece.

Also, that would allow for potential designs, etchings, cutt outs etc if people want to designe them further.

Personally, I've always like the Vibrant and Freedom design stut bar design.
But hated the endlinks on them.
At lest, really disliked them on the Vibrant bars.

anyone with an 086 head has NO header option as of right now...i HAVE a steal flange but it is port matched to the stock ports and my exhaust ports are hogged out pretty good so im not sure its even usable..but if we had a flange that we could use to make a custom header that would be GREAT...so my vote is for a 086 head exhaust flange that is port matched to the GASKET...or a header would even be better anyone agree??

the water neck outlet on the 2.3 head...... would come in handy when doing the 2.3 swap into a 3G J-body.

How many members have access and can draft in AutoCAD? We can always offer a 1 part cut and send you out what you order....

On the flanges, it is still wide open as some want mild steel and some want stainless, then some with 3/8 and some with 1/2...

Keep posting your interest and in what items...

For those wanting a 086 exhaust flange manta part sells one. Under 2.3 Racing components.

OP 1516K Quad 4 Header Exhaust Flange: High quality flame-cut and machined exhaust manifold flange for fabricating your own custom headers for your Quad 4 engine installations. Comes with new manifold to head gasket also.
OP 1516K $75.00

I would be more interested in a 086 header that fits in the 3rd gen engine bay.

I would be interested. Would it be straight accross, or would it run up to the rear deck?

Off subject, but I'm confused by this statement. Why wouldn't the neck from the 95 Z24 work?
