Has anyone here ever had a problem with the #3 journal or any others getting enough oil after converting to the 2.3 pump?
no problems here but i only have about 4500miles on the engine but the pump swap should help in higher rpm with out dropping pressure that's the main cause of bearing failure.
I get about 13 psi at idle 25 cruising and 27-38 psi wot. full temp.
I only know of one person who had a rod bearing failure after doing the 2.3 pump swap....... and lets just say it wasnt the pump or bearing (rod at least) that where at fault....... The actual oil pressure you get, can vary engine to engine...... all depends on oil weight, the size of the new oil passeges, bearing clearences, and condition of the rest of the block.

2.3L oil pump is not the cure for rod bearing failure, with that being said there have been 1 or 2 members here with the swap and with failure.
2.4L pump, 2.3L pump, Dry sump, always top off your oil.
