I've had a debate with some people....
here's the situation.
I hand you keys to a 10 second fwd car (call it whatever, honda, cav, celica) and keys to a 10 second rwd car (say 350z, TA, Camaro)
you can only have 1 car. which do you choose?
myself, I take the rwd car...more fun, I can do power slides. I can listen to my v8 idle...and enjoy it vs the bumble bee sound of a 4 banger.
oh, and its worth a heck of a lot more when I'm done with it
honestly, i choose FWD. just a personal preference.
"God invented turbo lag to give V8's a chance"
fwd, because all you ever see is rwd

FWD
I will take the challenge. What v8 can get 20 mpg and make 500 hp? Hate on me all you want but v8s are not my thing at all, i may own one eventually but thats not where i want to be now.
FWD fights everything we know about physics lol...its just not a good design
Its like the timing chain vs timing belt arguement both have their positives and negatives. Paul i hate you
Ill take mine in RWD please. Will be cheaper, less radical, streetable and if its tuned right and a 6 spd, ill still enjoy 25 mpg on the highway

How exactly does the title fit the question at hand. Both are quick. I was expecting a heated "Show" vs "Go" debate.
RWD is superior in just about every way to FWD other than powertrain losses and driving in the snow. So I'll take a 10 sec NWD car (Turbines FTW). You could power slide whenever you feel like it and Dog Fight on weekends.

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.
what I mean is....go fast in a different way...in a different car.....or go fast...in whatever, long as its fast. even if there's 100,000 of them already
That's tough to answer for me. Both have the +'s and -'s. From what I understand, FWD can take turns better than RWD, but then again, I can make a RWD Drift around those turns better/easier. It costs less money to make a RWD a 10 second car (for the most part), than a FWD, but at the same time, you could if you really wanted/needed to drive the FWD car in a bad winter storm, you will stay on the road better. However, that'd what studded tires are for.
Honestly, that'd a really tough decision. I think I'm gonna go with Kardain on this one and say AWD, Or I'll take the RWD keys, knock your ass out, and take the FWD key's too.

I'd take both, cause both have their place. But I also have a champagne taste on a beer budget.
Eh, I'm gonna go with both here. I like going fast in a straight line, but at the same time, I don't wanna be braking into those turns.
I think I was born to be a rally driver...Or maybe any auto cross driver.
formula 1 cars are not fwd. NO FWD car will outhandle a DECENT handling rwd car.
also im not talking daily driving practicality and weather in storms/snow
PURELY GOING FAST
10 second cars don't belong in snow/rain ever under any circumstance
One of each please!!!
Don't make me pick my brain will explode!!!

FWD for me... to built a 10 second FWD costs alot of money and takes alot of time. 10 sec RWD well we all know it's easier and cheaper. so i take the car thats obviously taken more time and money to build. FWD all the way
i choose option c, a fast awd car.
ok how about this? im definatly saying a fully built and tuned turbo 3800 with a full chrome moly tube chassis RWD 3rd gen 95-99 z24 would be my absolute dream car. made to look like a tuner car
but yeah, honestly, i would have to say i would rather have a FWD car because i just prefer it, idk why... something about the challenges?

fwd drive just to prove the point that fwd car can compete with rwd
