I know the 2.3 tb will fit the 2200 with no mods, but will it fit the 96 2.2 ohv?
they are two different style of throttle bodies.

unfortunately, the 95-97 throttle body is a one piece unit with the upper plenum. there's no option to make it bigger except to bor it out... im not even sure how big you can get it.

Can you swap the whole assembly with the 98-02 intake manifold and tb?
yes the head on the 2.2 and 2200 are different already did the resaerch for ya wanted to do the same thing
but the 2200 head will bolt on to the 2.2 (have to change the valve geomatry (sp) and the belt tens (the powersteering pump has clearince prob ... but it will fit on the block
