I Have an Idea!!

Would it be possible that maybe just maybe to make a J-body into an FR type of engine we could drop a Pontiac Solstice engine into a Sunfire or sumthing because basically the engine is still a four-banger it is still an Ecotec and it still comes with a 2.4L.
I am of course talking about a swap because if it is possible to but a 6cylinder S2000 engine into a Normal civic why not us fellow J-body owners do the same. And of course we also have the option of getting the GXP the one that comes with Turbo....hahaha

please search...even a bit..

Those 2.4 ecos are drive by wire..so yes it could be done but isnt worth it. Youd have to rewire your entire car to run the engine or run a full stand alone and even then its a pain...

Why is it that all the threads that are titled "I have an idea!" are always about something that can be searched for by using the 'search' feature of the thread? Any post with that title just has to be retarded. One of these days I'll post something with "I have an idea!" and ask a somewhat intelligent question about the mechanics of something I don't understand and where that area of knowledge is lacking on the forum, just so I can say I made an intelligent "I have an idea!" post.

Better question: Swap a Solstice engine into a S-truck? lord knows there are plenty of dimers itching to do so.

Go beyond the "bolt-on".

I know I asked that question years ago. We are guilty at some point in our lives for making a silly question here or there.
