Ecotec swap?

I got a 2002 ,2200 sfi auto. I want to swap to a ecotec would i need the trans too or would mine be okay and if u got any other info please let me know im all ears

Yes you would need the transmission that goes along with the Ecotec. Your current one won't bolt up to the new engine.
