Shane, we have been talking on Email the past day here, it seems to be a mis alignment issue on your car. We have over 500 of these out there and we have never saw this before. It seems as if the engine is pushed to close to the passenger side.... Not sure how this would happen, but it is not due to the mount, as your engine has a side force that should not be there. The Turbo Tech Racing mount isn't "pulling" your engine over that way...

Hey Aaron, I was just curious if anyone else had this issue. Your products are superior and I'm extremely happy with the mount and all of your other products. From the Koni Yellows, brake pads, mounts, and whatever else I've ordered from you.
I did take the mount out and I tried to move the engine and couldn't. I placed a jack underneath and tried to align the mount better than before and just couldn't. I then placed the stock one in there and it lined up perfectly. So I don't think that it is my engine. Is there any way that I may have gotten a defective one? Right now I placed the stock one back in there. I just don't want any bolts or anything to snap.
I appreciate all of your help and the quick response. If I scared anyone from buying one of these mounts, please don't be. Like Aaron said, he's sold over 500 with no issues. And I have been extremely happy with the mounts for the last 6 months. Just not sure why this happened to my mount in the past two weeks. Maybe my bolts came loose and shifted the bushing in the mount a little? I'll mess with it some more.
i kinda have that problem, it is smushing the bushing,............smushing the bushing LMAO

, any ways but its not rubbing through and making noise, but my stock mount was really bad when i replaced it, i could move it by hand, i also have the lower motor mount and i had a bit of trouble getting that into place, lots of WD-40 and a hammer, but i got it, i cant wait to replace the tranny mounts considering how much fun the lower engine mount was, but i must agree, turbotech's parts ARE GREAT, no complaint there.

could u guys have possibly tightened the outside nut? maybe the would be things together to much...
also, holy crap aaron, 500 units?! thats like $57,000 worth! very nice, the j community has done your company well.
try slotting the bolts holes a little the frame section slot the holes larger towards the motor and the engine plate towards the mount that should pull the frame section from the motor and pull the block plate towards the motor
Yeah, I am not sure but it seems like the engine in your car is to close on the passenger side, causing it to push sideways on the mount, which the car should have no push that way...

hey aaron, remember, i had the same issue. you sent me a bigger washer and that took care of it. could try the same as well.
my upper mount also makes a little squeaking noise, but it was never signifigant enough to complain about it. Mine has also rusted to hell and back...

no biggie tho

I know I was very surprised to see it that rusted, but I guess the Pennsylvania winters will do that...

Yah mine was chipped as well..i think its due to thm not being bead blasted before coating..or atleast mine wasnt..phil
Mine is pinched a little but it is not being cut away like yours. I would have not noticed it if it was not for this thread.....
Peace..... Dan
yea, some of ythe powder coating chipped off of mine when i was putting it in, i think im gonna opull it out, remove the bushing and sandblast it, then re powdercoat it or electroplate it.

What's the stock mount look like? I doubt this would be a design flaw, but shouldn't be happening?

weird. i havent had this problem. some of the powder coating flaked off but it doesnt bother me. just as solid as the RKs but wtihout the @!#$ty vibes

I totally support Aaron at TTR and all, but I don't know how you can say that the RK one is sh@#ty and that the TTR one doesn't have bad vibes. I had the RK Upper with RK Lower in for about 8 months and then the TTR Upper one in with the RK lower in for about 6 months and they were exactly the same in the vibration category.
Just my opinion. I sold the TTR upper mount for cheap and put the stocker in. Sucks that I lost money on the deal, but I just couldn't put up with the squeaky noise. Also I don't think that my motor is any different than others. Seems like Ty W has the same issue.
Please don't take this the wrong way anyone, as Aaron is a great guy and handles a great business. Just wish I wouldn't have had these problems. I would definately buy from Aaron at TTR again.
What is happening is the slight variation GM has in their tolorance and other mounts shifting.
The engine is shifting over towards the coolant tank and the base part of the mount doesnt move causing the bushing to pinch.
Best case it to loosen the top part of the mount and pull the motor toward the coolant tank, retighten the bolts. Then loosen the base nuts on the frame and pull the base part towards the coolant tank, re tighten those nuts. There is "slop" in the holes as they are over sized and can take some of this force out....

hey aaron, you just sent me a bigger washer, that solved most of my problem easy fix for me!
Yeah don't get me wrong I love it and I don't even notice any difference in vibes between TTR's and my stock mount. I am going to be buying the lower mount from TTR in the next while without a doubt. I just thought I'd point out that mine is doing the same squishing thing.
I'll give what Aaron said a shot and see how it goes though

might wanna read my post again there bud. never said the rk mount was a @!#$ty piece... just the vibs. i think your the 1st one that said the TTR mount has the same vibs as the RK.. iv had the rk upper and lower in for about 30k. switched to the TTR mount awhile ago... viberations are only slightly more then stock.. the whole dash doesnt rattle when taking off like the rk..
i didnt care at 1st but its embarassing when yoru driving around and it sounds like your car is gonna fall apart. thats why i got rid of the rk.

i could do some r&d if i had the mounts...*hint *hint i can see where you just need to grind the mount a little bit so that its not metal to metal when the bushing wears down
mine seems 2 b doin the same thing now. never noticed it really til after i went 2 the track with it installed.
