OK, if I created a SHORT RAM, that started at 3 1/2 inch, then 3 inch and final 2 1/2
Do you think this would work, sort of a long VELOCITY STACK. Would it create any changes in air flow, horsepower or torque?
It might create a change in airflow, but not HP or Torque. Well, i wouldn't say NONE, but not much over a regular WAI.
I'm back from the dead.
Currently Driving: RSX Type-S.
My Cavalier Burnt up :-(
im going to go with you will get nothing out of this.
the changes in diameter are not going to be gradual like a velocity stack or funnel are supposed to be, they are going to be more abbrupt changes. personally i wouldnt do it, and if i could changemy WAI for a CAI i would. after seeing the intake air temps i was drawing in with HPT, it would be amazing if i gained anything over stock at all lol.

What he said x50 million.

FORGET GIRLS GONE WILD WE HAVE GOVERNMENT SPENDING GONE WILD!
I have only one word for you: Ram-air! And I mean like Oldsmobile did in the day: Long, flexible tubes to a inlet snorkle in the front-fascia. Put a long stack (Funnel?) where that snorkle goes and you will have a velocity increase in the tube, with
cold air & a definate increase in performance. Remember: For every one degree (Ten degrees?) you lower the inlet air temp, you gain one HP!
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
