I called up to crane cams and asked them about a regrind i gave them a grind number they were telling me that it was goign to cost me between $250 and $400 is that how much they normaly cost this is for a 2200

I paid less than $180 with shipping... It sounds like they're charging you engineering fees, which doesn't make sense if you gave them a current grind #

I've talk to them plenty of times. What usually happens is the engineer confused the LN2 with the Eco. Sometimes you have to clairify that you're talking about a LN2 OHV motor, not the DOHC Ecotec.

Yeah, the overwelming popularity of the Ecotec has got everyone thinking that's all everyone is building sadly. Very few aftermarket people realize there are other engines in the J-car that get built, so MadJack's theory could be true here. Best call them back and tell 'em you have an LN2 to clarify.

Go beyond the "bolt-on".
