Drill holes in the airbox and buy as many stickers as will fit on your car.
You could start on your exhaust system.

Get some engine mounts. Honestly having your engine flop around less will be more noticeable than header or underdrive pulley.

More popular version is the NOS (the actual company) Cheater system.

Google is your friend.

Fair amount of warning, your fuel and air delivery will NOT be taken care of. I never promised a long-lasting solution.

Nitrous would be a good idea if you can find it that cheap, but I never considered nitrous "real" horsepower, Sure itll make more power with it, but you can't run it all the time. -- just my opinion anyhow.

I'd say a header, for all my boltons the header on my OHV was the one that gave the most noticible gain, made a better exhaust note with the setup I have, and was the most noticible on the butt dyno.

I would say headers as well. I just finished installing mine. I had a very noticable gain of about 18 hp on the dyno. But i have Dual Exaust on mine so who knows.

if i got a thing like a sneaky pete and i just did the resistor trick would that help me lean it out abit?

the resistor trick being jamming one of those "speedchip" resistor things in the intake sensor so it dumps more fuel into car

okay for the mounts is there any other place i can get them besides turbo tech?

For mounts, RK Sport sells them as well, Aplusperformance has them if I remember correctly.

Why would you put a resistor on the IAT and then want to lean it out again, thats just confusing. To lean it out, take off the "chip" and go back to just having the sensor in there.

no i dont have a chip in there but those chips tend to trick the computer into dumping more fuel into the engine but i dont think im getting the sneaky pete anyway i dont think im ready for nos

okay i went out to my car and looked at the mounts. there apears to be no physical damage whatsover on it but on the little ruber thing ont he inside is warped crack and ripped. so could that be the problem all along? also do the stock mounts just suck that bad? and is that normal?

also do rocker arms improve performance in any way?
Re: Best upgrade for around $200

if you go with a higher ratio rocker arm, yes. Quite a bit. It actually changes the way the engine runs. Its not the same as a header that reclaims hp, this will make your engine make more power, not regain any that is lost. Its not a simple do it yourslef job, but it isnt really hard either if you know what you are doing. I plan on doing it, along with many other upgrades to the head. I think you should get a header first, with an intake, and cat back, keeping a cat, stock or high-flow. Probably want to put a resonator in too, just to keep attention from the cops to a minimum. Getting mounts is also a great way to make your car feel much more responsive. Worry about the internals later, their gains will be much better with a full exhaust, and an intake.

alright sounds good i guess next check goes to headers also can someone answer my other question on the mounts as if i need to replace the whole thing or just the insert

Search for pacesetter exhaust on here...was a topic on it not to long ago.

Not on the IAT, putting a resistor on that will do nothing. If you want to change the afr, it has to be on the mass air intake wire.

have a high performance wing installed...better downforce=better grip=better times! yay!

Rob, the 2.2/2200s run an Alpha-N system, there is no mass air sensor.

Kurtis, the Pacesetter exhaust system is known to rust fairly quickly, if you live in the snow belt. The muffler that come with it is pretty loud and raspy, but is supposed to sound better with a resonator/glasspack. I would reccomend you find a muffler, a resonator/glasspack and a high flow cat of your choice in 2.25" and have a shop bend the pipes for you and weld it all together. IPP is okay as far as I know, but you can find better dealers on the Org. here, along with better exhaust systems.

The Armor Coat PaceSetter Header would be your best choice for the header.

As for the mounts, you can get the one Matt mentioned above, but I myself prefer the TTR mounts, much better quality parts.

There's something of the sort connected to the throttle body. May not be a "mass air sensor", but same basic principle.

not even close. and yes, the resistors are attached to the iat sensor. but really, they make you run rich at best.
