Has anyone on here done the l67 swap? and if so, did you do it 5-spd or auto. i am planning on doing it myself, and i have been hearing about machining the flywheel down?
From what i remember off the top of my head (been years since i have looked into 3800) it's a 3.8 f-body flywheel machined to 0.840" (stock v6 j-body flywheel thickness)

I am pretty sure the trans being used comes from the 2.2ohv with a 5spd.

FORGET GIRLS GONE WILD WE HAVE GOVERNMENT SPENDING GONE WILD!
the 2.2 ohv can b used but its not a good idea as the tranny wont hold up .... it will bolt up but its too weak
the best tranny to use is the getrag muncy tranny from the 2 gen j bodys with the z24 v6 stick tranny (its a stronger tranny )

Has anyone built up the 2.2 OHV tranny to handle the power (a strong LSD should be sufficient, or is something else at *serious* risk of self-destruction)?

Actually an LSD and some machined spider gears would probably be the best. It's usually the diff that blows. Not sure what exactly will be next after that, and at what power level it would be at.
