hey what would have a better sound. a muffler tip or dual exhaust on my 2.2 4cyl cavi? what would the difference in the sound be?

all dpeneds on the componenets of the system.

Cat?
Resonator?
Muffler with a tip or dual exhaust sound pretty much the same...

well i will have just stock pipe back to a aftermarket muffler or stock piping with a y and dual exhaust off it. what you think?

its really hard to say what it will sound like

why dual? it looks stupid... and take it from me, I HAD dual exhaust on my car at one time.
if you're going to upgrade your exhaust, upgrade at least from the cat back

if not, just weld a single muffler on and leave it alone. it'll give you the sound, cost less, and be less of a pain to install

All a dual exhaust does is add dead weight. The best way to go is cat back, if not, just get a muffler put on it.

Show or go? If show: what body kit is someone using?

Kits like the Cav Bomex or the RKSport Sunfire rear fascia extension, in my opinion, need the duals to complete the look and/or design, whereas others it would look tacky as sin.

get a cheep 300 - 400 $$ exhaust and please dont just throw a fart can on it becuz you wont go faster..lol...also the muffler(fart can) would probly sound like a pissed off weed wacker lol

i have the megan racing cat back (and its more of a coffee can) and it sounds really good. doesnt sound like a honda at all. just a good deep tone.

ya that is a real nice sounding system...do you feel a lil more pep in your step with that cat-back system?

i did when i was N/A. It freed it up a lot compared to the stock muffler. But i really noticed a difference when i ditched the stock mani and cat and put in headers and a magnaflow hi-flow. But now i don't here it very much cuz im boosted and only hear my engine. so im gonna be getting rid of the cat-back and gonna run a dual side exit.
