difference in pistons?

ok now that i have read the post about eagle discontinuing the crankshafts and h-beam rods, im looking at other options. now am i wrong about the discontinuing of the rods?

my question is are the pistons for the 2.0 ecotec the same as the 2.2

Your specs need to be labeled better.

But short and sweet - all the specs for the piston have to match, unless your destroking the engine. Wrist pin location is extremely important, cuz if the 2.0 has a lower wrist pin location(farther from the top of the piston) then your going to be sending the piston into the head. And if its at a higher(closer to the top of the piston) location then your going to lose compression.

By looking at piston specs you could have answered your question yourself.

No way Eagle's discontinuing the rods and crank for the eco's.....

From what i read in that link, it was just the crank they were discontinuing. Not the rods. The rods are really what you need anyways. Stock crank is plenty strong enough.
