i have a 2001 sunfire with the 2200 i got abuddy that just @!#$ his car up but the moter is find its a 97 gt sunfire i think.
im takin the motor and re building it over the summer my main question is
1) do i need the wire harnus from the 2.4
2) will my trany i have in now built up to the 2.5
3) wut are the main things i need to look at when doin the swap
ou will need the engine, trans, engine bay harness, and an ecu from an 00+ z or gt with the same trans you're going to use. your 2.2 trans will NOT BOLT UP TO THE 2.4.
so:
1) yes.
2) no.
3) getting the engine, trans, wiring harness, ecu, mounts, and any other parts needed.
