Forged pistons!

Can anyone tell me what the cylinder bore diameter would be for a 1997 LD9? Specs hard to find. How much difference do forged pistons actually make?

forged pistons alone don't make any difference. They are meant to be stronger not a power adder. If you want to technical you will gain a very small amount (not even noticable) from lighter weight, the bigest difference will be rebuilding the engine itself, the difference is not from pistons being forged.

when you buy pistons you either buy them stock bore, .020 overbore, .040 overbore etc.. you don't need to knwo the stock bore diameter.

Or if you already had the block oversized, you get the cylinder measured and you tell the pistons company the size of your pistons. Forged and cast pistons need different clearance.
