I'd contact levelzero. He makes a balance shaft delete kit so you can reduce the mass as well. This is what I just finished installing while I'm building my motor. You keep the sprockets and front bearings. He sends you a set of mid bearing inserts and a set of cut-off and polished shafts so the waterpump/balance shaft chain still has something to turn on.

The GMR delete kit still requires you to fabricate the blockoffs and costs a good penny more, but it includes a shorter chain.

You should be fine then. Long as both engines are out I dont see a problem with the shafts being used and reused again in a new engine. Long as you dont damage them by dropping it or something I think you will be fine.

Karo knows He has been selling them for years. Also, verify how the "bearings" look in the original block, if they measure well and look to be in good condition, you should be okay.

Don't know what you found to be wrong with the kit really simple and effective design. I thought it was great.

I just don't see the point in leaving tha extra weight in the car. Your engine still has to rotate it even if its not helping down the vibrations anymore.

Yes the thing i did not like was the sideways torque put on the bearing. I know there has not been issues with them going..but i made a decision to not go with that kit..no big deal really and isnt me putting down lzm...in all honesty it was also cause id like to transfer to my built motor later on. Also with lightned flywheel, clutch, crank and alt pulleys, and nuetral shafts..i think itll rev fast enough.
