Hey friends, im running a 56mm throttle body on a basicaly stock 2000 2.4 ! I have a 63mm throttlebody that i would like to put on but i wanted to ask if i would have fuel problems with that much airflow! Will it be required to run bigger injectors or will I be ok with stock fuel delivery?

STOCK

63MM
you will be fine.
the only time you need to upgrade the feul system is for boost or high power NA

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
That's way too big of a throttle body for a mostly stock engine. If anything you may see a bit of lower end torque loss.
it will sound nice
I'm back from the dead.
Currently Driving: RSX Type-S.
My Cavalier Burnt up :-(
Where the hell did you get a 63mm tb? Its a 2.4 I can tell, so what was it bored and sleeved?
yes it was bored and sleeved, i had a local machine shop do it! C&C machined plate and i just notched the stock rod to fit the plate! I still have not put it on yet. Im worried i will have high idle also!

Engine:
AEM SHORT RAM
63MM THROTTLE BODY
PORTED INTAKE MANIFOLD
OBX STAINLESS HEADER (2.25 INCH PIPE)
MAGNAFLOW CONVERTER
MAGNAFLOW STAINLESS STRAIGHT-CUT MUFFLER'S (DUEL'S)
Sweet. He is right though... you might loose low-end. You should gain a little upper end. And it will sound cool... No need to change anything else, its really not going to flow much more air. The small bit of extra air will easily be compensated for by the computer. It wont be any differnt than when you ported the intake. You probally lost a little low end there too.

Everything on the car got put on at the same time before the car hit the road so i dunno if i lost or gained on what parts! I am gonna do it tonight but first i am going to put the stock throttle body on and see the difference from it and the 56mm that i have now! Then ill put the 63mm on and see how it runs! I don't think i will be able to tell much without puttin the car on a dyno but i will update tomorrow!
How much did it cost to have the tb to 63mm? You actualy measured it at the plate to be exactly 63mm?
If you arent happy you could sell it to me
Update..... i do not recommend using a 63mm throttle body on a basically stock 2.4!

The mod list = basically stock.
Your engine won't be able to to effeciantly make use of the big of a TB.... your bolt-ons don't change the fact that the engine is still stock.
Port and polish your head, install some aggressive ass cams, and a higher psi Turbo with forged internals, and re-tune your car... than maybee...

So how much you want for it?

lol im gonna keep it for future use! The car ran great balls to the wall, i mean yea had a small gain in topend, could tell a loss in bottom end really! The car sounded great but its just not driver friendly for an everyday stop and go daily! I either had to be on or off the gas, and off the gass it was like a jake brake lol! I just didn't like not having a steady mid range pedal for daily use! yea if i take the car to the track ill put it on, thats why its not for sale! Thanks for the conversation guys! Ryan
