Hey whats up guys, im about to put on my Pacesetter header , Magnaflow Cat, and Magnaflow Muffler on my 04 sunfire 2.2 Eco, i am going to get 2.25 custom piping. Only thing that keeps bothering me is the Resonator i ordered online......What is the longest one that will fit on our cars? I ordered a 31' glasspack without even thinking if it will fit or not and now im wondering if it will fit without a problem.....Anyone ever installed a 31' resonator ?
I have a 31" Thrush as a resonator. I will fit but not in the catback. To make it work in my car I have a pacesetter header and as soon as header ends I have a high flow cat welded in... so it sits like a foot father forward then stock, and the resonator right after the cat, if you keep the flange for the cat back in the same spot it will not fit, you have to push everythign up and cram it in behind right before the bend
You have any pictures? I am getting the pacesetter header plus my cat.....i purcahsed the Magna flow Catalytic Converter w/ O2 Sensor Hole #94035 Will this one be a problem ? Pics would really help though
no installed pics, you don't really need pics though, just mount things one after another as far forward as possible.
Well im taking it to a muffler shop....I am just going to tell them to mount things one after another as far foward as possible......hope they dont have any problems.....How does your car sound with the 31' resonator ? Low deep sound ?
with the huge resonator and dynamax super turbo muffler it looks stock and is just barely louder then stock. This is by far the quietest aftermarket exhaust I've ever heard on a J-body. If you heard it you wouldn't think anythign of it.
I purchased the Magnaflow 14829 Muffler...think it will sound aroudn the same ....or more or less sound?
Hey i judt thought of this question.....since you said i should move everything to the front as much as possible....how will i do it with the Cat. with the o2 Sensor?? Will that be moved too? Do i need a new universal o2 sensor? Or stock one will work fine?

Go beyond the "bolt-on".
45inch glasspack is the biggest you can fit.
I had one on my z24. basically it was the header, down pipe and right after the down pipe turned i had the glass pack welded in (no cat) and it went to the first bend by the gas tank.
Thanks but jake i am going to run a cat. 14' long and my res. is 31'......and im going to install my header also with a 5' length flex pipe...still should fit ?
