alright... i take it the intake cam from the 95 is out of a 2.3l dohc? well i should say i hope, lol, because i found one at my local junkyard and nabbed it, lol...
but what motor is the LD2? thats all i need is the exhaust cam out of that, and i am hoping that it's easy to find...
and also, are the injectors from a 95 2.3l the same as a 2.4 or are they better? becuz i want to get as much stuff off of it as i can before they crush it, and the owner said i he will hold off on selling anything from it until i'm done....
and also if you have any other input, please let me know...
thanks everyone!
you want the exhaust cam out of a 90-94 LO (Vin D) car, the 95 exhaust cam is usable but it has 0.015" less lift, there are several other write-ups on the subject besides the sticky and they are very helpful. the injectors, unless you have a way to trim them back, (afpr or hpt/ both with wide band) i wouldn't worry about them. hey but please do yourself a favor and fill out your profile so we can better help you in the future. best of luck.
will it be that noticeable with 0.0015 less lift or should i go for a ld2 cam?
and should i salvage anything else off the car? even if i could sell some of the stuff...
and i am going to update my profile in a little bit....
thanks!
It has .015 less lift then the intake on the 90-94 LO engine, not your stock cams. However, that cam doesn't have the Power steering pump hex drive nor the CPS sensor. If your going to deal with all of that just get the HO cams. There are plenty of posts with the lists of cars all the different Quad motors came in. I could post it if you want. Or just search quad4forums.com for it.

alright, thanks alot.... i guess its time to start searchin for an ld2...
and if you have a list of cars with the ld2 it would be helpful to me...
thanks!
BUY THE EXHAUST CAM BRAND NEW FROM AN AUTO PARTS STORE. I bought mine from auto zone but you can buy it at any auto part store. You are forced to use a used intake cam since that cam was only made for one year no auto parts stores sell it.

FORGET GIRLS GONE WILD WE HAVE GOVERNMENT SPENDING GONE WILD!
I'm with Wade you can get the exhaust cam for $113 at Autozone. The exhaust cam is much harder to find in the junkyards.
FU Tuning
thanks guys, much appreciated!
besides cams do wear so you would not get the full performance benefit from using a worn cam.

quoted for truth.
measure cams u find in a yard, most will not have 3 lobes with the same lift.
Defference.....
Intake = +2 degrees duration / +.006" lift
Exaust - +3 degrees duration / +.029" lift
over stock
for those that don't like to do math and where wondering...
I wonder how the car would run if the intake cam was as agressive as the exaust cam (same specs)
^^^^^^ Speak the truth. I bought my cams from someone else on the org and the exhaust is new.

Are you talking about the difference over stock cams? I though Stock was 187* while secret was 200* resulting in a duration change of 13* not 3*.
Or are you talking about how much you have seen a cam wore down?
