honestly that motor with an intake won't do much for performance mainly looks. maybee some of ohv geeks will help you.
Preformance is miniscle, but still there :p
better to buy the SR intake from K&N imo... or buy the piping and put a K&N on it

You need one with a 90 degree bend to go over the throttle body. But I have found on some of the Intakes I have installed for people the intakes are normally good, it is the filters that are junk. So be ready to upgrade to a better filter.
so i could just buy a cheap one for the piping and throw an k and n filter on it and ill be set!
That's what i'm planning.
Piping is piping...
The filter's what you want to be good

dont know what you're all looking to get out of the intake but the sound depends a lot the intake. My AEM intake sounds sick as hell in high RMP's...its louder then my exhaust!! When looking at intakes, a warm air intake does nothing really. Sucks in warm air of the engine...if anything if you want to go CHEAP, make a pipe that goes down into your bumper and put a filter on it...then you can say you have a cold air intake
Cold air is really that much better (preformance wise)?

Would that intake fit on a 97 2.2L? I keep seeing a lot of intakes on ebay that are listed as 98+ but I'm not sure what difference there would be between that and a 97.
