is there anything different to do this swap?? i have a 1999 sunfire and a friend just gave me a totaled 2001 sunfire with only 24,000 miles i know im going to have to change harness and computer and cluster cause of a different transmission but i was just wondering is there any difference in bolting up anything?
well id be nice if you gave us a little bit more info. like what engine he has.
i see by your profile you have a 2.2 ohv. if its another 2.2 then its a direct swap
if its a 2.4 you are swapping in, then you need engine, tranny, wiring harness probaly a few other things

yeah sorry about that yeah its a 2.2 also but the transmission is the kind that has 123dnrp and mine just has the 12dnrp i did not know if it was the same harness or anything
